Ms. Susanne Rademacher is a Partner and head of BEITEN BURKHARDT's China practice group in Beijing and member of the firm’s corporate practice group. Areas of activity comprise corporate and labor law and foreign direct investment in China. Industry expertise in particular in the automotive, machinery, hospitality and railway industries. She studied law at the Universities of Cologne/Germany (1st State Exam 1998) and Lausanne/Switzerland. She then furthered her studies with Chinese language studies at the Beijing Foreign Languages University with a scholarship of the EU and the China Ministry of Commerce (2001 & 2002). She was admitted to the Bar of Cologne in 2001 and qualified as foreign registered lawyer with the China Ministry of Justice in 2003 and has been working as lawyer with BEITEN BURKHARDT in China since 2002. She is also Vice Chairperson of the German Chamber of Commerce North China since 2018 and Board member since 2014.More information about speaker

- Circles2 in 2010, a diversity and inclusion consulting firm working with leaders and managers in organizations to be more inclusive and build cultures of diversity where innovation will thrive; and
- Inner Circles in 2015, offering courses for women to grow personally and professionally. It's about women connecting to their inner power and releasing it across their lives, having an impact and empowering others along the way.
She’s worked with leading global organizations including: BMW, Dell, Dolby, Novo Nordisk, Hogan Lovells, Calvin Klein, Logitech, Danone, and more.
She is regularly called on to discuss women’s development and inclusion by leading business organizations, academic institutions, and government to share insights and experiences.
Em is Canadian, with an MPA from Ryerson University and a BAH in education and sociology from Queen's University. She’s married with three kids and lives in a traditional style Chinese courtyard she crafted with her husband. She was recipient of the best international family in 2018 by the International Beijing Women’s Federation and Ernst & Young women in business inspiration leadership award in 2011.
