China's digital economic gross exceeded 31 trillion yuan in 2018, which accounts for 34.8% of the country's GDP and plays an important role in the economic development. The essence of the digital economy is informatization: a social economic process in which the industrial economy turns into an information economy, caused by the revolution of production tools such as computers and the internet. Specifically, informatization includes the industrialization of information technology, traditional industries, infrastructures, and lifestyles etc.
